Pleasant Surprise in Lizard Thicket

Have you ever packed an item of clothing away from the season, forgotten you’d owned it, and rediscovered it with more joy than before you stored it? That’s how I feel about this shirt dress from Lizard Thicket. I purchased it a little over a year ago and was honestly getting bored of it. I didn’t like the way it was fitting on my body and I was convinced that the capsule wardrobe was my thing. Half of me wanted to part with it but the other half felt like there was potential and it only took me a year to discover it! I tried it on and it fit me terribly. I tried it with jeans, with shorts, with a slip dress underneath, and finally an a line skirt. It was the last thing that came to mind but it worked. Some how styling this awkwardly fitting, minimal style shirt dress, unbuttoned midway with a slightly edgy skirt worked. Although I really was just playing dress up with my clothes I had to share this look hopefully to inspire you to sometimes try a crazy, daring, and unusual approach. Fashion is fun and experimental.

Jumpsuit Business

Good morning, everyone. I’m feeling super excited about this look today and just had to share it. Now I know the title has the word business in it but unfortunately unless you consider a long day of picture taking and editing business, although I sure do, it isn’t really. I spent a long time trying to figure out what to wear and was inspired to try out a more formal/ business look in this jumpsuit, the same one I’ve styled for A Festival Look. If you can’t tell I really really love that jumpsuit and cant believe a piece so specific could possibly be versatile. I chose to cover it up, as it is a bit revealing for professional attire, with my long vest from ASOS. I think the vest is probably the most important piece of the look, second to the jumpsuit, as it adds a chic feel and is quite elongating teamed with the jumpsuit. I tied a belt from an old duster coat to cinch in the waist for a slimming look.

Now as a serious question for you all: Would you be interested in seeing various pieces styled in different ways? Comment YES if you are & as always Thank you all so much for the support. xoxo

[NOTE: Some of these items are NOT vegan friendly]

1. Lou & Grey Doubleface Coat

2. Vega Three Lock Pierre Natural Puxador

3. Flowers For Zoe Single Wrap Bracelet

4. Lou & Grey Cashmere Mockneck

Hi everyone & welcome to another post. This will be a quick one however. As you may know I am a massive lover of basics in the wardrobe and I’m always on the hunt for some really good staple pieces that could be mixed and matched with anything in the wardrobe. Lou & Grey is a great shop for finding nice quality pieces for fair prices. Now I will warn to some of you, some of these items are not vegan friendly. Although I myself am vegan I chose to still include these items as I want to help all of my viewers, my vegan and non vegan. This may not always be the case but for now I do hope you enjoy.

I chose these items because I love the potential versitility I’m seeing with these. Theyre great for the coming seasons and for mixing and matching with your other wardrobe pieces. I will be on the hunt for a vegan friendly alternative but for now I hope all of you are having an amazing week. xx
