Good morning and Happy Sunday- can we pretend that it’s still Sunday ?It’s that time of year again, the time to make a shift in the old wardrobe and dip into some new trends and I couldn’t be more excited! I don’t think I’ve ever been more stoked about following trends since skinny jeans nearly 10 years ago but here I am ready to take on some of this season’s latests, so ready that I’ve created a visual board to physically display my interests.
I think my overall excitement will be within experimenting with texture, patterns, & color, shock horror!
Yes’ I said it. I’m going to be dabbling into some color this season! Just a few months ago I’ve only been interested in neutral hues but I can’t stop swooning over bright shades of orange and red! If there were ever a time to make a loud statement in your clothes now is that time for sure as these brights have been hitting the high street and high end market becoming the new black. I’ve particularly loved seeing reds teamed with contrasting whites or with light shades of pink. I look forward to creating bold and memorable looks by pairing the black and white combo with light blues, light pinks, lavenders, reds, & oranges.
Of all the exciting textures and patterns being highlighted at the moment I am especially loving gingham and tweed material. There’s something effortless and classic about monochromatic gingham, very 1970’s I say. Style with white cropped denim and ballet flats and you’re basically Jane Birkin.
