Minimizing anything in your life that is not contributing to your happiness, success, or peace of mind. This includes habits, clothes, memorabilia, jobs, and even people. There are no rules except to do what you feel makes your life simpler.
Why the Sudden Lifestyle Change?
Maybe subconsciously I’ve been a minimalist at heart but for sure I know that I prefer this over the lifestyle I’ve led so far. I found myself feeling suffocated in everything. Not just my belongings, which were another problem, but my job, schooling, financial state, and people around me. I didn’t know what needed to change but something had to. I was not happy. Now I’m not saying that things are perfect now, but I do feel just a bit lighter knowing I am working to make changes.
