Minimalism

What it Means to Me. Why? What Are My Goals?

Minimizing anything in your life that is not contributing to your happiness, success, or peace of mind. This includes habits, clothes, memorabilia, jobs, and even people. There are no rules except to do what you feel makes your life simpler.

Why the Sudden Lifestyle Change?

Maybe subconsciously I’ve been a minimalist at heart but for sure I know that I prefer this over the lifestyle I’ve led so far. I found myself feeling suffocated in everything. Not just my belongings, which were another problem, but my job, schooling, financial state, and people around me. I didn’t know what needed to change but something had to. I was not happy. Now I’m not saying that things are perfect now, but I do feel just a bit lighter knowing I am working to make changes.

    1. Thank you for your kind words. It is definitely a journey, not too difficult. The challenging part of it is living with non minimalists.

  5. I am going through similar things. Realizing how much stuff I have and wondering why society tells me I “need” it. I hope to get rid of everything but what makes me happy and productive. Look forward to your future posts! 🙂

  7. Can absolutely relate to this, I’ve just moved to Hong Kong and fled all my possessions, trying to work out habits to make sure I don’t accumulate “stuff” here too.

    1. I think I’ve been feeling like i need it for a while but didnt know how to describe it but now it’s a bit of a trend at the moment and it’s helped to know that minimalism is the term for what I’ve been gearing towards and that there are so many people also in this movement. 🙂
